15 Audi Vehicles Recognized For Excellence In Safety

Audi has received 15 Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 2023 Audi A5 Coupe is the latest vehicle to earn the organization’s highest safety honor.

Standard and optional front crash prevention systems scored excellent in vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian tests. At the same time, two available headlight systems attained "good" and "acceptable" ratings.

The Audi cars to have received 2022 Top Safety Pick+ ratings include sedans, SUVs and fully-electric e-tron models.

"Audi is proud to lead the industry with the most IIHS Top Safety Pick+ awards and recognize our amazing engineers that continuously develop, design and test our cars to achieve these high safety standards."

The complete list of models to receive the prestigious award include:

  • Q4 e-tron (2022 and 2023)
  • Q4 Sportback e-tron (20222 and 2023)
  • e-tron (2022 and 2023)
  • e-tron Sportback (2022 and 2023)
  • Q5 (2022 and 2023)
  • Q8 (2023)
  • A3 (2023)
  • A4 (2023)
  • A4 Allroad (2023)
  • A5 Coupe (2023)
  • A5 Sportback (2023)
  • A6 (2022 and 2023)
  • A6 Allroad (2022 and 2023)
  • A7 (2022 and 2023)

A vehicle must achieve "good" scores in all IIHS crashworthiness appraisals to earn the Top Safety Pick+ award.

Other requirements include a "superior" or "advanced" rating in front crash prevention systems and "acceptable" or "good" scores in headlight technology.
