Audi earned top honors from U.S. News & World Report capturing the “Luxury Plug-In Hybrid” award. The 2021 A7 Plug-In Hybrid earned the award thanks to a combination of electric performance, fuel economy and coupe styling.
“The wave of electrified vehicles is starting to flood into the mainstream market,” said Jaime Deaton, executive editor of U.S. News Best Cars.
“The Best Hybrid and Electric Car Awards help consumers focus their shopping by highlighting the vehicles that not only reduce their emissions and fuel costs, but also fit into their lifestyle.”
Under the hood of the A7 hybrid is a supercharged 2.0-liter engine. It is matched with a 14.1 kWh battery pack and electric motor that provides an electrified range of 24 miles. This lowers emissions, improves fuel economy and makes the Audi A7 an eco-conscious vehicle.
A 4-cylinder engine generates a combined kick of 362 horsepower and 369 pound feet of torque. This allows the A7 to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5.7 seconds.
Audi’s A7 Plug-in Hybrid comes in a virtual cockpit interior comfortable for 5 adults with plenty of room to stretch out in the backseat. An array of digital displays are controlled from an 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The forward collision warning system, front and rear parking sensors, back-up cameras, low tire pressure warning system are some of the on-road safety and security features of the Audi A7.
The Best Hybrid and Car Awards is the automotive channel of U.S. News & World Report. Last year, more than 73 million people turned to U.S Best Cars for advice for their vehicle purchasing decisions.
