A luxury sedan that also happens to deliver a low cost of ownership? Vincentric heralds Audi’s Q4-e.
The 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron was recognized for lowest cost of ownership in the electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle category at the annual Vincentric Best Certified Pre-Owned Value Awards.
Q4 E-tron is the first fully electric model from Audi. The all-electric SUV comes with 2 electric motors that generate over 402 hp and 490 Ib-ft of torque.
The powertrain is powered by an 82-kwh battery and has a charging capacity of 5-80% in approximately 40 minutes. The SUV’s interior integrates a squared-off steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, a toggle-switch gear selector and Audi’s latest MMI system.
Audi’s 2022 Q4 e-tron has an available cargo space of 28.5 cubic feet and a maximum 56.4 cubic feet with the rear seats down. A 10.3-inch digital gauge display is paired with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen angled towards the driver for easy access to various menus and features.
Every year, Vincentric uses a statistical model to handpick winners identified by measuring which vehicles have lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price.
In determining the lowest cost of ownership, Vincentric uses 8 different cost indices: depreciation, fees, taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, repairs and opportunity cost. Vehicles must have three previous model years within a five year range (2017-2021) to qualify for the awards.
