Safety
Standard on the 2023 Audi Q5 lineup is a comprehensive suite of safety technologies.
Features include:
- Pre Sense Basic: Uses sensors to detect potential hazards, such as a sudden change in speed or direction of another vehicle. It tightens seatbelts and closes the windows when potential danger is detected.
- Pre-Sense City: Integrates a front-mounted radar sensor to monitor collisions with vehicles or pedestrians. If an accident is imminent, Pre Sense City applies brakes to prevent or mitigate the crash.
- Sideguard Head-Protection Airbags: Airbags are deployed from side pillars in side impact accidents. They protect front occupants from head injuries.
- Parking System Plus: Triggered ultrasonic sensors recognize objects behind and by the car's sides when parking. It also helps drivers park appropriately in a parallel position.
- Side Assist: Utilizes radar to pinpoint vehicles obstructed from the Q5's view. If a vehicle is detected in a blind spot, a warning light illuminates the corresponding side mirror.
